Birkirkara Local Council was very honored to have a delegation from Longobardi headed by it’s esteemed Mayor, to sign a twinning agreement with the council. The delegation took an active part in Birkirkara week through visits to schools, the industrial estates, apart from the bilateral meetings held between the two councils in which areas for further collaboration were explored. The signing of the twinning agreement between Doris Borg, then Birkirkara Mayor and her Longobardi counterpart was signed on Saturday, the 3rd of December in the presence of counsellors local council staff and collaborators. Amici di Longobardi, siamo onorati di avevi ospitati a Birkirkara. Speriamo che la nostra amicizia sviluppera` in molte belle cose per i cittadini dei due comuni.
